Simple
diet changes may benefit people suffering from frequent headaches.
A
drop in blood sugar levels can lead to headaches. In such
circumstances meals should not be skipped. Try to maintain blood
sugar levels by having a snack last thing at night and again on
wakening in the morning.
Dehydration
is a common cause of headaches. Drinking plenty of water to
replace lost liquids may help relieve headaches.
Excessive
caffeine can alter the blood supply to the brain and cause
headaches. One should not consume more than three cups of coffee or
tea per day. If caffeine causes one headaches, one should cut down on
caffeine intake instead, as complete elimination may cause withdrawal
headaches.
Food
Allergies or additives in processed food may cause headaches in
some people. Fermented soya and fish sauces are thought to be the
reason some suffer headaches after consuming Chinese cuisine. If
specific foods are suspected of causing your headaches, keep a food
diary and note your reactions.
Headaches
can also be caused by a variety of mental, physical and dietary
causes. Tension headaches are experienced as pressure behind the eyes
and a tight band around the head. Other causes include: poor liver or
kidney function, magnesium deficiency, allergies and toxic free
radicals. Vitamin E may neutralise the effect of these free radicals.
Avocados, cold-pressed vegetable oils, nuts and seeds are rich in
vitamin E.
Other
causes are: worry, bad posture, strenuous activity, arthritis in the
neck, whiplash injuries, grinding teeth or an uneven bite, long
distance driving and ill-fitting glasses. Females may suffer
headaches due to hormonal fluctuations before the onset of monthly
periods, during pregnancy and at menopause.

Nobody
complained about headache to All?h’s Messenger (Allah’s
