Thailand to increase Halaal exports |

  In order to increase Halaal exports, Thailand Commerce Ministry has signed two deals.
The deals are with The French Casino Group, which has 9,850 outlets and the Belgium-based Dehaize with 2,705 stores worldwide.
The agreements are to increase its Halaal exports of cooked canned food, primarily to the EU market.
According to the Commerce Ministry, Thailand’s present global Halaal market amounts to 1%, and there are many advantages, particularly for Southern Thailand’s Halaal producers to increase exports, following the signing of the two agreements, with Casino and Dehaise.
